Privacy Policy
Last updated 12 July 2026
We keep this deliberately short and readable. Here is exactly what data the CVET website handles, why, and the control you have over it.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by CVET, an independent, early-stage project based in Germany. For anything privacy-related you can reach us at support@cvet.dev. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to CVET; “you” refers to a visitor to this site.
2. What we collect
- Waitlist details — if you join the waitlist, the email address (and any name/company) you submit.
- Messages — anything you send us by email.
- Analytics — anonymous, aggregated usage statistics, and only if you consent to the analytics cookie category. See our Cookie Policy.
- Server logs — standard technical data (IP address, browser type, timestamps) processed transiently to serve the site securely and prevent abuse.
We do not collect special-category data, and we do not build advertising profiles or sell data.
3. Why we use it & our legal bases
- To run the waitlist and reply to you — on the basis of your consent and/or steps taken at your request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)/(b)).
- To keep the site secure and working — our legitimate interest in operating a safe, functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To understand and improve the site — analytics, only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
4. Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers (data processors) purely to run the site — for hosting, sending transactional email, and privacy-friendly analytics. They process data only on our instructions. We never sell your data or share it for advertising.
5. International transfers
We aim to keep processing within the EU/EEA. Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
We keep waitlist and contact details only for as long as needed for the purpose you gave them, or until you ask us to delete them. Server logs are short-lived. Consent records are kept as long as your choice is active.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can, at any time:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have it corrected or erased;
- restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent (without affecting prior processing);
- ask for a portable copy; and
- lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these, email support@cvet.dev.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data — the same discipline our product is built around. No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, but we take it seriously.
9. Children
This site is intended for business users and is not directed at children under 16.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the project evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
